Aggressive Patience: The Secret to Growing Without Losing Yourself

There’s a phrase I’ve come to live by lately: aggressive patience.

At first, it sounds like a contradiction. How can you be both aggressive and patient? But if you’ve ever been in a season where you’re pushing for something your peace, your purpose, your next level you know exactly what it means.

It’s not about being rushed or reckless. And it’s definitely not about sitting back and doing nothing. Aggressive patience is a powerful middle ground. It means showing up with full intention, doing your part every day, while trusting that the results will come in their own time.

What Aggressive Patience Looks Like in Real Life

It looks like:

  • Writing the book even when only 3 people read the first draft.

  • Showing up online with 20 followers like you already have 20,000.

  • Launching your product before everything feels “perfect.”

  • Healing at your own pace, even if no one else sees the progress yet.

  • Doing the work, knowing the rewards are marinating in silence.

I’m in this season right now building a brand, being a present mama, growing, letting go, trusting. There are days when it feels slow. But slow doesn’t mean stuck. It means deep roots are forming.

Why This Mindset Works

When we rush, we get sloppy. When we wait passively, we get discouraged. But when we move boldly and wait wisely, we’re building something sustainable.

Something real.

Aggressive patience keeps you in motion without burning you out. It keeps your energy focused on what you can control: your habits, your energy, your presence, your integrity. The results? They come as a byproduct of that energy.

My Reminder to You (and Me)

  • Don’t confuse silence for failure.

  • Don’t mistake slow growth for no growth.

  • And don’t you dare shrink just because no one’s clapping yet.

You are planting seeds. And when those roots take hold?

The bloom will be undeniable.

So keep going with grit and grace.

That’s what aggressive patience is all about.
