Day Three: Seed Season

A Reflection on What We're Planting, and What We're Growing
On the third day of creation, God gathered the waters, let dry land appear, and then did something so quiet, so holy it could be missed in a hurry.
He made the earth sprout.
Seed-bearing plants.
Trees with fruit.
Life that would nourish, multiply, and sustain.

But it all started… with a seed.
And seeds? They’re small. Hidden.
Often forgotten after the planting.
They require trust.
Because you don’t plant a seed and see fruit in the same breath.
You cover it. Walk away. Water it. Wait.
That’s where some of us are right now in the seed season.
We’re showing up for small things. Quiet choices. Little routines. We’re journaling, praying, stretching, healing, saying “no,” resting, starting again. It doesn’t look flashy. It doesn’t get claps. But it matters.
Because every peaceful boundary, every deep breath, every “I’ll try again tomorrow” is a seed.
And one day, it will bear fruit.
Not everything you’re planting will sprout overnight. But trust this: God knows the soil. He knows your soul. And when the season is right, what you’ve planted in faith will rise in beauty.

So ask yourself gently today:
What seeds am I planting with my time, my thoughts, my energy?
What kind of life am I quietly preparing for?
And what needs more watering more love, more prayer, more patience?
Because you, beloved, are the garden and the gardener. And your seed season is sacred.
Reflect on a “seed” you’ve planted in your life recently.
What do you hope it grows into? What’s helping it take root?
What’s testing your patience?
