In the Beginning: A Sacred Morning Blueprint

Updated: Jun 17

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…” Genesis 1:1

There’s a rhythm in that sentence that echoes through time. It’s not just the beginning of the world it’s the blueprint for every beginning.Especially yours.

Every day you wake up, you’re not just rising from sleep. You’re rising from chaos, from the shadows of yesterday, into a new creation. You are stepping into your Genesis.

But how often do we rush this sacred moment? How often do we roll over, scroll, stumble out of bed, and walk into the day without a whisper of awareness? What if we treated our mornings like holy ground?

What if we honored them the way God honored the beginning?

1. Speak Life Over Yourself

The first thing God did was speak.

“Let there be light.”

Before any action, before any movement there was the Word.Words shape worlds.

So when you rise, speak light over yourself.Declare truth. Call out the good that is not yet seen.Say things like:

“I am whole.”“Today will serve me.”“I am guided, I am loved, I am covered.”

Even if the void surrounds you speak anyway.

2. Subdue the Chaos

Genesis 1:2 says:

“The earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface… and the Spirit of God was hovering.”

Chaos doesn’t mean absence it means potential. And yet, even potential can overwhelm us if we don’t name it, shape it, tame it.

Subduing is not about control it’s about clarity. What in your life feels “formless and empty”?What needs to be rearranged, repurposed, restored?

Each morning, take a moment to bring order.Maybe it’s through journaling, prayer, breathing, or simply deciding what not to carry forward from yesterday.

3. Curse What Needs to Die

This is a bold one.

God separated the light from darkness. He divided the waters. He didn’t leave everything to mix and swirl together. He set boundaries.

To curse doesn’t mean to be angry it means to release what cannot live in your new space.

Curse the voices of self-doubt.Curse the patterns that have drained you.Curse the lies that say you're not enough.

You can’t build a sacred day on the ruins of toxic cycles. Be brave. Cut ties. Let go. Speak the “no” that sets you free.

4. Create with Intention and Imagination

God didn’t just create what was necessary. He created beauty. He filled the skies with stars, not just for function but for wonder.

You are made in that image.

So don’t just survive your day design it.Add music. Add softness. Add laughter.Take time to paint, to write, to rearrange your space, to make your food more beautiful.

Create something today even if it’s just a new thought.

5. Sit in Silence

Before creation, there was silence. And after creation, there was rest.

Stillness isn’t nothingness it’s the meeting place between you and God. You don’t have to have the answers. You don’t even need to say a word.

Just sit.Let your heart be heard. Let Spirit breathe through you.

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

This is the Blueprint.

Your morning is not a throwaway. It’s not a prelude. It is the beginning. The first chapter. The most divine moment of your day.

So rise like you are the creation and the creator.Rise like God’s breath is in your lungs.Rise with reverence, clarity, courage, and awe.

And if you’ve forgotten how, Go back to Genesis. Read it again.Let it wash over you, not as a distant story, but as a personal reminder:

You are called to create light out of darkness.Every single morning.
